Later in the evening, we went for a jungle trekking! We were walking in a single file with a local man as the lead. The girls went off first, followed by the boys and some of the facilitators. Well, they are being shielded by so many men that I bet that they would had felt safe, of course xD The early part of the track was relatively an easy brisk walk. As we went deeper into the jungle, it was getting darker as the thick canopy layer prevented the sunlight from reaching into the lower part of the jungle. We even had to walk up and down then up again until we reached the top which appeared to be the rest spot for the adventure.

While resting, we were introduced to 2 types of herbal plants which were - Pohon Kapal Terbang or also known as pohon jepun by the Kelantanese. It seemed and smelled kinda familiar to me as my grandmother is an expert in this kind of stuff and she had many kinds of herbal trees planted around her house. The leaves of this plant can be used to treat wounds and increase the rate of blood clotting which are useful especially when were are going for an adventure in the jungle. Next up is the Senduduk Unggu plant. It has a purple flower, hence the name Senduduk Unggu. The function is quite the same. The leaves of the plant, once squashed and applied to the wounds can stop the blood flow in a matter of seconds, said the ex-army man.
Later, another local man gave us a demonstration on making a piggy bank using a bamboo. It was a live demonstration and I was amazed by the way he handled the sharp knife in cutting, shaping and decorating the bamboo piggy bank. From the way he handled it, I could assume that he had been used to it for perhaps, more than 20 years. Even cutting the bamboo was just like slicing a paper to him. I was totally marveled, so do my friends ( especially the girls ) I can totally read it from the expressions on their face xD
